Micah, my grandson, was born in the Autumn of 2016. This painting is from a photo from when he was about 8 weeks old. He is sleeping peacefully, not a care in the world.
His daddy, my son, was diagnosed with cancer mid-way through the pregnancy. I can't imagine the strength it took for my daughter-in-law to not only support my son through his cancer treatment but to take care of their 4 year old son as well.
This painting represents all that is good and what trust in God is all about. I am delighted to say that my son is now cancer free and enjoying his family.
Check on the "What's on the Easel" link to few the progress on my new painting. I will keep updating the slideshow as I complete the piece. I hope you enjoy the show!
I have been battling with shingles (in my eye) for about a week now. Which has given me a lot of time to think, especially since it's really difficult to read much less paint. I have come to the conclusion that I don't view my painting as just something pretty. Each painting captures a special moment in time. Sometimes it's a vacation memory, another time its an adorable child who discovers the ornaments on the Christmas tree. Check out the gallery and see if some of my favorite memories just happen to be the same as yours, and if you are interested I wold love to capture a memory for you too!
This painting was painted for my husband of our two young son's right after getting home from a little league game. The painting reminds me of the hours of love and dedication Frank spent with our boys and the fun times we had for oh so many springs. He has it hanging in his office.
Good Morning Everyone. It's bright and early Sunday morning and before I start getting ready for Church I thought I'd like to share a few thoughts on what's on the horizon. I plan on retiring on April 29th and look forward to having time to work on new paintings, participate in a few art shows and maybe even open up my home to painting workshops. Not sure what the future holds but it's exciting.
Every picture tells a story... or at least that's what the song says.
Well, I feel the same way about painting. Each painting I complete tells a story. I'd love to share my stories with you through my paintings. I also love sharing other peoples stories. Maybe you would like me to share yours?
